Navigate the Rio Arade River, passing the fishing village of Ferragudo, the 15th-century Dom João Castle, and Praia Grande de Ferragudo, and reach the Atlantic Ocean. Cruise east to see Praia do Pintadinho, the Ponta do Altar Lighthouse, Praia dos Caneiros, the secluded Praia da Afurada, a Roman watchtower on a high cliff, Praia do Vale da Lapa, and the Smugglers' Cave. Also, see the Praia do Paraiso, the village of Praia do Carvoeiro, the rock formations and caves of Algar Seco, Praia do Vale de Centianes, the Alfanzina Lighthouse, and the Cape of Carvoeiro.
