Ximuwu Safari Lodge, set in South Africa’s Klaserie Private Nature Reserve, was founded by Patrick and Elly Suverein with the mission to create a fully inclusive luxury safari experience after Patrick’s own mobility challenges revealed the inaccessibility of most lodges. Hosting a maximum of eight guests in four spacious, wheelchair-accessible suites, Ximuwu offers exclusive, highly personalized safaris with private game drives and flexible itineraries. The property features step-free entrances, wide doorways, and fully accessible indoor amenities including the lounge, restaurant, spa, fitness area, and public restrooms. Suites are designed with accessibility in mind, offering grab rails, roll-in showers, height-adjustable beds, and adapted bathroom facilities. Outdoor spaces such as the pool (with lift), boma, and photographic hides are also wheelchair-friendly. Custom game-viewing vehicles with ramps and sliding seats make wildlife encounters seamless, while accessible airport transfers ensure smooth arrivals and departures. Equipment such as shower chairs, transfer boards, and electric or manual wheelchairs is available on site. Every path, facility, and service is thoughtfully designed to blend barrier-free access with five-star comfort.
