Nestled in the sunny Largo de Sao Domingos square within the vibrant streets of Porto you will find The Largo. This 18 room hotel restaurant and bar occupy five interconnected 15th 16th and 19th Century buildings which have been carefully stripped back and lovingly restored to maintain many of their original features. Inspired by a purpose to create meaningful experiences for their guests The Largo has been taking an active role in the surrounding cultural communities since its conception in 2017 this invested time and care resulting in a place of authentic encounters and connection. A new hotel concept that playfully subverts the standard notions of luxury The Largo is the brainchild of Annassurra a Copenhagen based travel and hospitality group. The timeless elegant residence is just an 8 minute walk from the Douro River in the beating heart of Porto. Designed by architect Frederico Valsassina with interiors by Space Copenhagen one of the key objectives of the renovation has been the conservation of hundreds of years of history crafts and traditions embedded within the architecture of the buildings. Adjoining The Largo are sister projects Cozinha das Flores and Flor a restaurant and a bar both under the direction of the esteemed and talented chef Nuno Mendes. A sense of reciprocity with local project partners and the intention to allow for spontaneity and serendipity ensure that guests of The Largo leave Porto with a sense that they truly connected with the city and its culture.
