The Chancery Rosewood is housed in the former US Embassy building on Grosvenor Square in the very heart of Mayfair. The building was originally built by architect Ero Saarinen in 1960 in a brutalist design. Sir David Chipperfield, renowned architect for rehabilitating historical buildings, reimagined the building to host 100 Junior Suites and 44 Suites including 8 Signature suites and 6 Houses. The interior designer Joseph Dirand, designed an extremely luxurious yet not ostentatious property with a strong residential feel featuring the most noble fabrics such as suede, leathers, woods and stones in respect of the colour palette of Mayfair. The Chancery houses a spa and events facilities as well as 8 restaurants and bars including the rooftop bar offering panoramic views over the city of London. Important to highlight, is the modernity of the building allowing volumes, light and views like no other Victorian or Georgian building in Mayfair and this brings a truly unique sense of space. Most of the rooms overlooking on the Blackburn Mews offer Juliet balconies with floor-to-ceiling windows and our restaurants combine over 250 outdoor seating capacity.
