Great Fosters

A historical country escape in Surrey- designed for contemporary indulgence. Surrounded by lawns and landscaped parkland- Great Fosters is the quintessential English country getaway. With the main house dating back to the 1590s- and an eclectic guestbook including Hollywood royalty- it is easy to see how the building and grounds have cultured a unique character. Each room or suite is individually styled with historical European pieces and ornamentation- with contemporary comfort for good measure. Romantic four-poster beds and gilded Italianate luxury are among the choices for your stay- as well as rooms in The Cloisters or Coach House for a calm and cosy getaway. Outdoors- the Great Fosters estate includes 50 acres of picturesque grounds where you can wander- play tennis- swim in the heated outdoor pool - or simply do nothing at all. A calendar of seasonal events and experiences includes particular highlights around the summer and Christmas months. And when it comes to fine dining- the Michelin-starred Tudor Room is the place to be- English and European flavours infuse the locally-sourced ingredients. Mix it up with the more relaxed Estate Grill- where salt-of-the-earth European fare tops the menu. Great Fosters is a Small Luxury Hotels of the World property.
