Castello di Velona Resort Thermal SPA & Winery

The Castello di Velona located on a hill overlooking the Val d Orcia a UNESCO World Heritage Site is a restored castle dating back to the 11th century. Located 1 h45 min. from Florence and just 8 km from Montalcino dominates the Val d Orcia with its typical landscape of olive trees and vineyards which produce the famous Brunello di Montalcino. The Castle has a total of 9 rooms and 36 suites designed according to two different concepts Castle Rooms style mainly with windows and wide spaces and Contemporary Rooms style all with a private furnished garden or terrace bath with thermal water re named UNESCO. The Resort features two restaurants Settimo Senso with its magnificent terrace overlooking the vineyards and the Val d Orcia at sunset and Dolce Vita located by the pool perfect for a light lunch a sunset aperitif or a seafood dinner.
