Digital Yoga & Meditation Event with Juan

Juan has been practicing yoga since 1998. His first class was in yoga studio called Jivamukti on Lafayette Street. He came to it with a lot of skepticism and awkwardness. With no background in movement, athletics or sports of any kind he felt completely out place. But he knew he had to do something about his unhealthy lifestyle and unimaginable stress from working full time and attending graduate school.

When he lost his job during the Great Recession he obtained his 200 teacher training in 2009 and started to teach classes in NYC - Pure Yoga, yoga Vida and the YMCA. He also started to lead and co-lead retreats all over the world - Cartagena, Mexico, Thailand, Dubai, India and Sri Lanka. He continued working in Big Pharma, financial services and a biotech company and left his corporate job in 2015. He works as a full time yoga instructor and retreat leader. His primary residence is in the West Village in downtown Manhattan.
