Select & David Rosen Galleries present Domingo Zapata and Friends

In the art world, few names garner more praise than Domingo Zapata. Described as "the next Andy Warhol," Zapata draws from early 20th-century European modernists and daily life as inspiration for his paintings. From selling paintings to George Soros to launching his own line at New York Fashion Week to painting New York City's largest-ever mural, Zapata is the name on everyone's lips in the art world. Zapata is based in New York, and his work exhibits qualities of graffiti art and an interest in popular culture, as demonstrated by his images of female celebrities and works capturing the culture of bullfighting in his native Spain.
