But first and above all Philosophy is the study of the fundamental nature of knowledge, reality, and existence, especially when consider as an academic discipline. The term, from Greek origin, is composed of two words: Philos (love) and sophia (thought, wisdom, knowledge). Thus, philosophy, is the "Love of Knowledge".
