Events & Sponsorships Coordinator

The Position:
The Events and Sponsorships Coordinator is responsible for the planning and
execution of SELECT Member events across our active markets. This
includes, but is not limited to, rooftop soirées, menu tastings, cocktail hours,
gallery openings, fashion shows, speaker series, fitness events, galas and more.
The Events and Sponsorships Coordinator is also responsible for establishing
new and managing existing relationships with sponsors and hospitality brands.
Who you are:
A natural born salesperson. You could sell ice to an eskimo, but would much rather
sell sponsorship opportunities to elite brands. You are a foodie, a traveler, an adventurer
and the one in the know. You’re the friend who knows of the newest gallery and
restaurant openings, the one who nabs tickets to that sold out show and the
one who is invited to every cultural soirée. You are always on the lookout for amazing
new experiences and can’t wait to have your friends join you on them.
You walk into a room and can’t wait to speak with everyone. And you always
leave with at least a few new friends. You’re flexible, a jack-of-all-trades and
are always ready to take on the next challenge with enthusiasm.
Skills you have:
• Event management and execution experience
• Sales experience with a proven ability to close at least five figure deals
• The ability to network extremely well
• Incredibly detail oriented and a super organizer
• High level of resourcefulness and strong willingness to learn
• An interest in startups and entrepreneurship
• Self starter with abilities to work both independently and in a team
Responsibilities include:
• Strategically planning the SELECT events calendar across all markets
• Creating new and unique member events
• Crafting pre-event checklists and managing logistics of member events
• Establishing and managing event venue partnerships and relationships
• Establishing and managing sponsorship relationships
• Order, distribute, and manage all event materials and execution items
• Source, secure, and manage necessary staffing including
• Assist with all other event preparation, from inception to day-of execution
to post event wrap-up
Required experience:
• Event planning and execution: at least 1 year (2 - 3 preferred)
Required education:
• Bachelor's
