Explore the Ozarks at Top of the Rock Ozarks Heritage Preserve. Start with the Lost Canyon Cave and Nature Trail, a self-guided 2.5 mi (4 km) trail explored by electric cart. Along the way, see rock formations, waterfalls, and views of the lake. Stop at the Bat Bar inside the cave for drinks, then head to the Eagle’s Nest overlook for views of the Ozarks. After the trail, visit the Ancient Ozarks Natural History Museum. Spanning 35,000 ft2, the museum features exhibits on prehistoric creatures, the American West, and the Civil War, as well as Native American artifacts and artwork. Conclude your journey with a deeper understanding of the region's past and its cultural significance. Your visit ends at the museum, but you can continue exploring the area or stop for a meal at one of the nearby dining options.
