Skyrail Cableway & Kuranda Scenic Railway: Tickets
Ride a cableway and walk through a village
Visit the ancient rainforest on the cableway and railway. Travel above the World Heritage listed Tropical Rainforest on the Skyrail Cableway and stop at stations such as Red Peak and Barron Falls. At Red Peak, take a guided tour by a ranger and explore the Rainforest Discovery Zone. At Barron Falls, visit the lookout, the Rainforest Interpretation Centre, and the historical area. Walk through Kuranda Village. The Kuranda Scenic Railway journey between Kuranda and Freshwater Railway Station offers commentary in English and includes a stop at Barron Falls for photos. Travel through and view the rainforest while learning about the area.

- Park the car at Skyrail Smithfield by 8:00 am and check in with a Skyrail representative to collect boarding passes for Kuranda Scenic Railway and Skyrail.
- Skyrail Smithfield terminal bus transfer to Freshwater Railway Station at 08:15.
- Train ride from Freshwater Railway Station to Kuranda at 08:50.
- Free Kuranda Village time (2-3 hours recommended)
- Skyrail one-way experience from Kuranda to Smithfield at 12:30.
- Day ends at the car; leave Skyrail when ready.
