Walk to the active craters and swim in the hot springs
Visit the volcano of Santorini on a boat, departing daily, and reach the port of Erinia in about 10 minutes. Spend 1 hour and 15 minutes there. Walk along the path to see active craters, where rocks are still smoking and the smell of brimstone is strong. After returning to the boat, head to the island of Palaia Kameni, where hot springs and natural mud baths formed after volcanic eruptions await. In the small bay of St. Nickolas, the water temperature ranges from 30 to 35 ºC, mixing with normal seawater. The boat stays there for about 30 minutes, giving you a chance to swim.
