Palazzo Fava: "Louise Nevelson" Exhibition

View black, white, and gold monochrome sculptures

Visit Palazzo Fava to explore the work of Louise Nevelson (1899–1988), one of the first women artists to gain significant recognition in the contemporary art world as early as the 1940s. The exhibition showcases her black, white, and gold sculptures made from found materials. Curated by Ilaria Bernardi, the exhibition is the first in Bologna dedicated to Nevelson. It takes place in the main floor of Palazzo Fava, which also features frescoes by the Carracci brothers—Ludovico, Annibale, and Agostino. This exhibition marks 120 years since she moved from Ukraine to the United States, a key moment in her life and career.
