National Kiwi Hatchery: Guided Tour

Visit the National Kiwi Hatchery in Rotorua to learn about the kiwi, a unique bird from New Zealand. Join a guided tour to observe kiwi egg incubation and chick care. See kiwi birds in their nocturnal enclosure or watch chicks in the nursery. Proceeds from tickets go to conservation work at the hatchery. From September to March, you may see eggs or newly hatched chicks, while during other months, adult kiwis forage in the Nocturnal House.
