Lugo Cathedral: Entry Ticket + Audio Guide

Learn about ancient history and observe architectural details

Visit Lugo Cathedral, which is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site "Routes of Santiago de Compostela: French Way and Routes of Northern Spain", listed since 2015. The building's architecture tells a story dating back to late Roman times, starting from the city's foundation by the Romans. Initial Christian practices led to the construction of a temple here around the 1st century. While the specifics of the original structure are unknown, Bishop Odoario restored it in the mid-8th century. The cathedral features late Romanesque characteristics, with its notable North Door entrance showcasing Romanesque design prominently within its exterior.
