Bike across Golden Gate Bridge and stop at historic landmarks for scenic views
Start a self-guided bike tour from Fisherman’s Wharf to Sausalito, crossing the Golden Gate Bridge with views of San Francisco Bay, Alcatraz Island, and the Marin Headlands. The ride begins at Fisherman’s Wharf on a mostly flat path, suitable for all skill levels. Pedal through the Marina District and Aquatic Park Cove, stopping at the Palace of Fine Arts. Continue to Crissy Field and then to the Golden Gate Bridge. After crossing the bridge, arrive in Sausalito, a town with art galleries, shops, and cafes. Enjoy free time to explore, visit local spots, shop, or relax in a cafe. When heading back to San Francisco, you can ride your bike all the way back. Or you can take the ferry (fare not included), or in high season, there is a Sausalito bike drop service for a fee if you want to leave your bike there.
