See amazing wildlife and have fun at Netherland's oldest zoo
Visit ARTIS Zoo, one of the five oldest zoo's in the world, and see animals, historic buildings, gardens, and exhibitions in the center of Amsterdam. See the 2 elephant calves at the zoo. Explore the renovated Kerbertterras (former lion enclosure) inspired by Madagascar, and observe ring-tailed lemurs, red ruffed lemurs, and radiated tortoises living together in a shared habitat. Stroll through the city park, admire the monumental buildings, explore the botanical garden, and take a break at one of the vegetarian restaurants. Check the daily schedule for zookeeper presentations about animals including jaguars and Asian elephants. Admission also includes access to the ARTIS Planetarium, where you can learn about stars, planets, and space exploration. During the May holiday period, children can take part in educational activities such as birdwatching, protecting bird nests, and learning about elephants as a WWF ranger.
