Art Gallery of NSW: Archibald, Wynne, and Sulman Prizes Exhibition

Visit an annual exhibition that displays finalists and winners from competitions

Discover the Archibald Prize, Australia's top portrait painting award, is a mix of democracy and drama. Since 1921, it has featured people from every corner of life. The Wynne Prize celebrates Australian landscapes and sculptures, while the Sulman Prize focuses on subject and genre painting. The annual exhibition displays finalists and winners from these competitions. Judges for the Archibald and Wynne are trustees from the Art Gallery of New South Wales, and Tom Polo will judge the 2024 Sulman Prize. Don't forget to vote for the best portrait in the ANZ People's Choice award before 4 August. The Young Archies, for artists aged 5-18, shows the future of Australian art. There's also a family-friendly children's trail.
